The wait is finally over – The Apprentice returns to our screens this week.
Led by Lord Sugar Alan, the 16th series of Reality will welcome a new group of contestants, all eager to prove their skills and claim a £250,000 investment in their business as well as mentorship by Lord Sugar himself.
One of the members of The Apprentice 2022 squad who hopes to impress with his killer selling abilities is Akshay Thakrar.
Before the series is released, here’s everything you need to know about the founder of a digital marketing agency from London.
Who is Akshay Zikar?
Profession: Owner of a digital marketing agency
Londoner Akshay believes sleep is a ‘waste of time’ and can speak seven languages. He owns a digital marketing agency Sai Network which, according to its website, is a “performance marketing agency focused on acquiring new clients.”
We’re not quite sure what that means, but we’re sure it will make it clear when the series airs.
What did Akshay Zikar say about joining The Apprentice?
It’s early days, but given Akshay’s claim that his first word was “win”, it looks like he’s about to give us some really quotable single lines if nothing else.
“My friends called me an AK47 because I’m a killer salesperson,” he said after joining The Apprentice, before claiming he could sell anything to anyone.
When does the beginner start?
Season 16 of The Apprentice will begin broadcasting on Thursday (January 6) and will see former champion Tim Campbell take over as Lord Sugar’s assistant as the latter recovers from surgery.
Baroness Karen Brady will also join them to scrutinize Akshay and the rest of the group while proving their skills.
The Apprentice Series 16 will begin on January 6, 2022 on BBC One at 9pm. If you’re looking for more to watch, check out our TV guide.
