The 30K Startup Handup will launch on February 1 across Canada for any new virtual or physical business. “We remember the initial difficulties of starting a new business as it was yesterday,” says Sloan. “The offer is to help a new startup with a great business model take off and get their target audience informed.”

Tag has had a remarkably good year despite the challenges of the pandemic, attracting a number of new clients as well as maintaining long-standing relationships such as the Alberta Educators Association, Taiga Building Products and Peloton Computer Enterprises for more than two decades. Many other clients have been in the company’s portfolio for more than 10 years.

“When we met Tag, they were the agency that not only had depth and broad capabilities, but only got it when we told them our story,” says Boaz Shilmover, Moby co-owner and CEO.

The Sloan team will aggressively deliver the Moby brand through digital and traditional media.

Another new client in 2021 is NSCAD (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design). Winning the competition, Tag was selected to overhaul the NSCAD mega site from design to function; Sloan says working with the college team in a true partnership has been a lot of fun.

A comment from the client summed up the result nicely: “We finally have a proper website for a global university of art and design.”

Good work attracts referrals, and word spread about Tag’s successes with educational institutions in Alberta. This led to a call from the Center for Research on Energy and Environmental Policy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to create a new website, along with a rebranding and development of new marketing materials for the division of the famous Massachusetts Corporation.

Over the past 30 years, Sloan and his team have created quality campaigns while having fun working on them.
