Consumer finance firm Revolut has appointed Antoine Le Nell as vice president of growth and Ankit Kimka as global general manager and chief marketing officer.

It also recruited Wieden & Kennedy to handle its post-competition global advertising.

Le Nel joins Revolut after seven years at King Games, where he oversaw the international success of titles including Candy Crush Saga. He will be responsible for ensuring Revolut’s continued global growth.

Khemka previously worked at HelloFresh for recipe boxes. He has been tasked with building Revolut’s marketing leadership team to global capacity and managing its relationships with advertising and media partners.

The increase in marketing investment comes on the heels of more than doubling its customer base since the beginning of 2020 to more than 18 million people.

The appointment of Wieden & Kennedy came as a result of the pitch bid process that Revolut began in August. The agency will start operating immediately with a special focus on the UK and US markets.

Helen Andrews, Managing Director at Wieden & Kennedy London, said, “Revolut is an amazing company and we are so proud to be given the opportunity to tell the world all about it and launch the brand with a fanfare.”

The two Marketing Recruiters will work closely with Global Head of Growth Operations, Rory Miller Chivers.

“Simply put, we build things that we want to use ourselves, and are proud to show our friends and family. We now want to find the best marketers in the world to help us take our brand to the next level,” Lou Neal said.

Khemka said: “We are now expanding our brand to showcase Revolut’s amazing product, and deliver an innovative and exciting game-changing campaign like Revolut. Our goal is to disrupt financial services around the world through the most innovative creative platform, world-class machine learning, and analytics powered by artificial intelligence.”
