The report identifies the most important factors and trends affecting law firms’ page rankings on Google for high-value keywords in the 200 largest US cities.
The insights from this research are the latest from Hennessey Digital, which released its award-winning law firm response time study last year. The technology-focused agency helps top law firms dominate their markets through organic search, PPC, and other digital marketing strategies.
While the data from the study does not suggest a direct relationship between PageRank and a particular property of a website, it does reveal a range of factors that influence search performance, including:
Number of entities on the page
Page responsiveness to mobile layout
The number of incoming and outgoing links a page contains
The research also confirms that website attributes measured by Google’s Core Web Vitals also affect ranking on search engine results pages. Other interesting findings include discovering technologies used on high-level sites, such as commonalities in content management systems and web hosting providers that many of the major law firms’ sites use.
