Things are getting “toxic” between the Spears sisters.

Britney Spears has denied that she carried a knife on her “scum” younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, after the Zoe 101 star made the accusation in a TV interview while publishing her upcoming book.

“I have never been near you with a knife or even thought of doing this!!!” Britney, 40, I wrote in a statement posted on Twitter Friday, adding, “The only knife I saw you in the house with was chopping the biggest chunks of squash I’ve ever seen, and it was just too big to cut.”

Then Britney asked Jamie Lynn, 30, to stop telling “crazy lies” just to sell her memoirs, “Things I Have to Say,” and summoned her for allegedly making up stories about her.

“Now and only now do I know that only a scumbag would make up such things about someone…. I’m actually really confused about you making it up because frankly it’s not like you at all!!!!”

She continued, “About the boys??? Jimmy Lynn Seriously??? Come on!!! Congratulations on introducing your older sister to the concept of getting LOW… LOWER… LOWEST… because you won at it, baby!!!!”

Jamie Lynn claimed in an interview with ABC News earlier this week that Britney once locked them in a room while brandishing a knife. It did not disclose the time of the alleged accident.

“It’s important to remember that I was a kid at that moment,” Jimmy Lynn said while seated. “I was afraid. That was an experience I had, but I was also really afraid to say anything because I didn’t want to anger anyone or anything. But I was so upset that she didn’t feel safe.”

Jamie Lynn also claimed in the interview that she “going out of her way” helped free her sister from guardianship, though Britney previously said the “Sweet Magnolias” star “did nothing.” The legal arrangement was terminated in November 2021 after 13 years.

The pop star blasted her sister Thursday for her comments during the interview, tweeting that Jamie Lynn had “never had to work for anything” and was lying about their relationship to sell her book.

But Jamie Lynn defended her diary, insisting that it was about her own life experiences and not those of her sister.

“I hate to burst my sister’s bubble, but my book is not about her. I can’t help but give birth to Spears too, and some of my experiences include my sister,” she wrote in a statement on Instagram on Friday. “I’ve worked hard since before I was a teen, and I’ve built my career even though I’m someone’s little sister.”

Jamie Lynn also asked for peace between them, although it seems Britney doesn’t intend to make adjustments.

“Things I Should Have Said” hits stores next Tuesday.
